The Stolen Daughter and the Dark Truth Behind a Billionaire Wedding
“Where is my daughter?” Rowan asked again, his voice dropping to a dangerous whisper.
“The estate,” the man said. “Under the main house.”
“The medical wing,” Marcus said, checking his screen. “He’s telling the truth about the location, Rowan.”
“How do we get in?” Rowan asked the driver.
“You can’t,” the man said, coughing. “It’s high-security. Biometric locks.”
“There is always a way in,” Rowan said.
“The gala,” the man gasped, squinting through the pain. “The engagement party is tonight.”
“They are hosting hundreds of guests at the estate,” I said, the realization hitting me.
“The security will be stretched thin,” Marcus added, looking at Rowan.
“The basement access is through the private study,” the driver said, his voice fading. “But you’ll never get past the perimeter.”
Rowan stood up, letting the man slump back onto the cold floor.
Marcus immediately stepped in, securing the driver’s hands with plastic zip-ties.
The rain outside seemed to fall harder now, drumming against the metal roof above us.
“We have to go to the estate,” I said, looking at Rowan.
He turned to me, his dark eyes reflecting the harsh glare of the SUV’s headlights.
