Vance stood up, holding a stack of signed affidavits.
“This is enough,” Vance said. “The FBI will have teams moving on Whitmore and your mother’s associates at dawn.”
“What about Caterina?” Dominic asked.
“We are securing a warrant for her arrest as well,” Vance said. “But we need to freeze her accounts first so she can’t move her capital.”
“She has eyes everywhere, Vance,” Dominic warned. “If she gets wind of this, she will run.”
“The border alerts are already active,” Vance said. “She won’t be able to board a commercial flight.”
“She doesn’t use commercial flights,” Dominic said.
My phone buzzed in my pocket, the vibration loud in the quiet office.
I pulled it out, seeing Marco’s name on the screen.
“Marco?” I said, putting the phone to my ear.
