Jonathan walked up behind me, placing his hands gently on my shoulders.
“You should get some sleep,” he said softly.
“I cannot sleep, Jonathan,” I said, turning to face him.
“We are going to end this,” he said, his eyes searching mine. “I promise you.”
“Harrison will not let us go that easily,” I said. “He knows everything about us.”
“He does not know that Benjamin found this,” Jonathan said. “This is our only card.”
“What if he finds out before you can use it?” I asked.
Before Jonathan could answer, his personal phone vibrated on the wooden table.
The screen lit up with a number that did not have a name attached to it.
Jonathan picked it up, his brow furrowing as he pressed the phone to his ear.
“Vance,” he said.
He listened for a moment, his face growing pale.
