The Hidden Ledger and the Reckoning of the Hart Family Foundation
“We need to show them the truth,” I said. “The real ledger, the real bank statements, and my mother’s actual instructions.”
“The board is meeting at the downtown office,” Rachel said, checking her watch. “They are convening in exactly twelve hours.”
“That gives us the night to organize the evidence,” Daniel said.
He tapped a few keys, pulling up a scanned document.
“This is the signature page they submitted to the land registry,” he said, zooming in on a signature. “Look at the ink density.”
I leaned forward.
The signature read *Claire Hart*, but the lines were too uniform, too perfect.
“It’s a digital trace,” I said. “They took it from my renewal form for the foundation’s insurance policy.”
“I can prove that mathematically,” Daniel said. “The pixel alignment matches the 2022 filing exactly. No two human signatures are identical down to the micron.”
“Will a judge accept that?” I asked Rachel.
“With Daniel’s affidavit, yes,” Rachel said. “But a judge won’t issue an injunction tonight. The courts are closed, and the emergency judge on call is Vance’s former law partner.”
