“This is a coordinated effort to ruin me,” Callum said.

The federal prosecutor stood up and approached the podium.

“Your Honor, the government has received new evidence from the former principal accountant of Prescott Global,” she said.

She placed the black ledger on the clerk’s desk.

“This ledger details the systematic diversion of investor funds into offshore accounts,” the prosecutor said.

“It also contains records of direct payments to Dr. Ronald Whitaker.”

“These payments were made to secure false medical documentation regarding Avery Prescott’s mental state.”

Callum’s public defender did not stand up to object.

He looked at the floor.

Judge Mallory took the ledger and began to turn the pages.

The only sound in the room was the soft rustle of paper and the rain against the glass.
