“The assets transferred to the Cayman Islands belong to the maternal legacy trust of Helena Prescott.”

“Those assets were frozen by federal order three hours ago.”

Vivian sat perfectly still, her face pale.

Judge Mallory looked back at Callum.

“Mr. Prescott, the evidence of your financial fraud, wire fraud, and conspiracy is overwhelming.”

“You utilized your corporate authority to attempt to strip your wife of her legal rights and her child.”

“The court finds you guilty on all counts of the indictment.”

Callum turned his head and looked at me.

His eyes were wide and filled with anger.

“You took everything,” he whispered.

The bailiff stepped closer to him.

“Face the front, Mr. Prescott,” the bailiff said.

Judge Mallory cleared her throat.

“It is the sentence of this court that you serve one hundred and twenty months in the custody of the Federal Bureau of Prisons,” she said.

“Ten years,” she repeated.

Callum did not speak.

“With regard to the custody of the unborn child,” Judge Mallory said.

“The emergency petition filed by the defense is denied.”

“Sole legal and physical custody is awarded to Avery Prescott.”
