“Mara used to use our mother’s maiden name combined with her birth year,” Ryker said. “Try that.”

Tessa typed it in and hit enter.

A red box flashed: *Access Denied.*

“Try the coordinates of the cabin in Wisconsin,” I suggested. “She loved that place.”

Tessa entered the numbers.

Again, the screen flashed red.

“We only have three attempts left before the drive wipes itself,” Tessa warned, her fingers hovering over the keys.

The intercom buzzed a third time.

This time, we could hear a distant, muffled voice shouting through the speaker.

Gideon Voss was losing his patience.

“Ryker,” I said, looking at the sleeping Lily, then back to the laptop. “What did she call the twins before they were born?”

Ryker looked at me, his eyes widening slightly.

“The little stars,” he whispered.

“Try *Lumina*,” I said. “In Latin. She was obsessed with it.”

Tessa typed the letters slowly: *L-U-M-I-N-A-1-5*.

She hit the enter key.

The screen went black for two long seconds.

Then, a green progress bar appeared, loading a massive directory of files.

“We’re in,” Tessa breathed, her eyes scanning the folders that began to populate the screen.
