She walked over to the table and looked at the blueprint of the headquarters.
“Tony is hosting a celebration in the penthouse boardroom,” she said, pointing to the top floor. “He has invited the captains from the outer boroughs to witness his ascension.”
“He wants to make it official,” Romano said.
“He wants to show them he is untouchable,” I said. “The old way is dead to him.”
“We have one advantage,” Elena said. “They do not know I am still working this angle. My credentials are still active in the system.”
“You can get us through the gate?” I asked.
“I can get myself through the lobby,” she said. “I have the federal warrant for the financial records. It is enough to freeze the security guards at the front desk.”
“And the freight elevator?” Romano asked, tapping his key.
“The freight elevator is at the rear dock,” Elena said. “If I distract the main desk, the security feed for the rear dock will be diverted. You will have a three-minute window to get inside.”
“Three minutes is enough,” I said.
