Grant stopped.

“Where is the drive?” he asked, his voice shaking.
“It is in a secure location,” Naomi said. “It will remain there until the custody papers are signed, notarized, and filed.”
Grant took a step closer to the table, his eyes darting to the document.
“Sole custody,” he muttered, reading the bold letters at the top. “No visitation. You’re turning her against me.”
“You did that yourself when you brought your mistress into our home while our daughter was sleeping,” I said.
He flinched slightly, but his jaw tightened.
“This will ruin the family, Amelia,” he said, his voice dropping to a desperate plea. “If these accounts go public, the stock will tank. The board will oust me. I’ll have nothing.”
