“We need to move fast,” Naomi said without looking up. “Before Grant or Conrad realizes she has reached out to you.”

My phone buzzed in my pocket.

My stomach dropped, thinking it was Sienna again.

I pulled it out and looked at the screen.

It was a text from Antoinette’s personal assistant.

*Mrs. Harrow wishes to speak with you immediately. She is waiting in the lobby of your hotel.*

I showed the screen to Naomi.

Naomi looked at the text, then up at me.

“She knows something,” Naomi whispered.

“Or she’s trying to find out what I know,” I said.

“Go down,” Naomi said, standing up. “Keep your voice calm. Do not mention Sienna. I will stay up here and start drafting the agreement.”

I nodded, my hands cold.

I smoothed down my gray sweater and walked to the mirror.

My face was pale, but my eyes were steady.

I had to do this for Lily.

I left the room and walked down the carpeted hallway to the elevator.

The elevator ride was silent, the hum of the cables vibrating through the soles of my shoes.
