“And we have the routing numbers for the offshore accounts.”
Daniel looked between me and the officer, his brow furrowing.
“What routing numbers?” Daniel asked, his voice shaking.
“What is he talking about, Mother?”
“It is a bluff, Daniel,” Patricia said quickly, her hand gripping his shoulder.
“I told you, your wife was hiding money from her classified operations.”
“She is trying to deflect from her infidelity.”
“That is a lie,” I said, looking my husband directly in the eyes.
“Look at the data, Daniel.”
“Let the officer speak,” Hayes commanded.
Lieutenant Miller scrolled through a document on the tablet.
“These three offshore accounts in the Cayman Islands are registered under Captain Morgan’s name,” Miller said.
“But the IP addresses used to access them do not match her deployment logs.”
“They don’t match her location at all.”
“They trace back to a virtual private network registered to this house,” I said.
“Specifically, to the desktop computer in your mother’s home office.”
Daniel shook his head, looking confused.
“That’s impossible,” he muttered.
