“My mother doesn’t even know how to configure a network.”

“She didn’t need to,” Miller replied.

“She hired a digital consultant based in Cyprus to manage the transfers.”

“The consulting fees were paid directly from your family’s primary trust account.”

Daniel froze.

He looked at the tablet screen as Miller held it out.

The color slowly drained from his lips, leaving him pale in the flashing emergency lights.

“The trust?” Daniel whispered.

“The trust your father left for you and your sisters,” Hayes said.

“Our forensic audit of the bank’s main server shows a systematic drain.”

“Over four hundred thousand dollars has been moved out of that trust over the last two years.”

“The money didn’t go to me, Daniel,” I said.

“It went into those offshore accounts she opened in my name.”

“She was setting me up to take the fall for her own theft.”

Patricia’s fingers dug harder into Daniel’s shoulder.

“This is a ridiculous fabrication,” she hissed, her eyes darting to the street.

“They are using military resources to cover up your wife’s treason.”

“What about the DNA test, Daniel?” she added, her voice rising in pitch.
