She looked at the official blue stamps.

She scanned the transaction logs.

Then she looked at Grant.

“Mr. Holloway, you are in flagrant violation of the temporary restraining order,” the judge said.

“I have tried to cooperate,” Grant stammered.

“You have tried to steal from your own children,” Judge Miller said.

She picked up her pen and signed three separate documents on her desk.

The room was completely quiet.

The only sound was the scratch of her pen against the paper.

“Based on the evidence presented by Ms. Albright and the forensic audit, this court finds a clear pattern of fraud, neglect, and endangerment,” the judge said.

She looked directly at me.

“The court hereby terminates the parental rights of Grant Holloway,” she said.

I felt a cold shiver run down my spine.

“Sole legal and physical custody of the triplets is awarded to the mother,” Judge Miller continued.

“Furthermore, pursuant to the grandfather clause in the Holloway Family Trust, the court recognizes the mother as the sole administrative trustee.”

“Mr. Holloway is stripped of all authority regarding the trust assets.”

The judge slammed her gavel down.
