“The Crescent,” I said. “I’ll book a suite under my maiden name.”

“Thank you, Arthur,” I said and ended the call.

I sat in the quiet car for a moment, the dashboard lights glowing softly on my hands.

My phone vibrated in my palm.

A text message from Graham appeared on the screen.

*You need to bring the girls back right now,* the message read. *My mother is furious. If you aren’t back here in twenty minutes, don’t bother coming back at all.*

I did not reply.

I put the phone in the cup holder, shifted the car into drive, and pulled back onto the road.
