“Can you do it from your phone?” Adrian asked.
“Yes, but I need the signal booster in the garage,” I said. “The walls down here are too thick.”
“We need to get through those doors,” Adrian said, looking back toward the red light of the lock.
Another shot chipped the stone column above us, raining dust down on my hair.
“They’re blocking the exit,” I whispered.
“Not for long,” Adrian said.
He reached into his pocket and pulled out his own phone, the screen lighting up his sharp features.
He swiped quickly, his fingers moving with practiced precision.
“What are you doing?” I asked.
“Re-routing the power grid for the estate,” Adrian said. “It’s going to trigger the fire suppression system.”
A loud clanging sound echoed from the ceiling above us.
A second later, the overhead sprinklers hissed to life, pouring a freezing deluge of water down upon the entire cellar.
Shouts of anger came from the main aisle as Marcus and Julian were drenched in the freezing spray.
