The Silent Marine Who Returned to Unmask Her Family Lies
Drummond pulled up another document on the tablet.
It was a log of internal military correspondence, all originating from a private email server registered to Helen Rogers.
The emails contained forged medical evaluations of my mental state, sent directly to promotion board members.
Michael read the screen.
His jaw went slack.
“She forged these?” he asked, his voice cracking.
“Look at the date on this one,” Drummond said, pointing to a document from five years ago.
“It was three days before my promotion board to Major,” I said.
Michael leaned closer to the screen.
“It says you were under psychiatric evaluation for post-traumatic stress,” he said.
“It says I was unfit for command,” I said.
“I was in the middle of a deployment in Helmand when this was filed,” I added. “I was commanding a company in the field.”
“Who signed it?” Michael asked, his hand hovering over the screen.
“It’s signed by a Dr. Aris Thorne,” Drummond said.
“There is no Dr. Thorne in the Navy medical database.”
“He’s a civilian psychologist,” I said. “He sits on the board of Mother’s charity foundation.”
