“This is your last chance to do something right for my father’s memory,” I said.

Elena looked at Dorian, who was glaring at her with pure venom.

She looked at the pen in her hand, then down at the paper.

“If I sign this,” she whispered, “what happens to me?”

“You will have no claim to the Calder trust, the land, or this house,” Voss said.

“But you will walk out of this room a free woman.”

Elena closed her eyes, a single tear cutting through the heavy makeup on her cheek.

She pressed the pen to the paper and signed her name on the dotted line.

Voss immediately took the document, checking the signature, and signed his own name as the witnessing notary.

“It is done,” Voss said.

“The Calder trust is now solely under the control of Maren Calder.”

Dorian let out a low, guttural curse, his shoulders slumping.

“Dorian Pike, you’re under arrest for grand larceny, fraud, and conspiracy,” Miller said.

He pulled Dorian’s arms behind his back, the handcuffs clicking shut with a cold, metallic finality.

“Brielle Pike,” Miller added, nodding to his deputy.
