Kelsey let out a sharp, choked sound.
It wasn’t a sob. It was a sound of pure disgust.
“You idiot,” she spat at Trevor. “You absolute idiot.”
“I was trying to build something!” Trevor screamed, his composure finally breaking. “We were supposed to be partners!”
“You ruined us,” she said.

“Kelsey, he stole your money,” I said.
“If you had just given us the cabin, none of this would have happened!” she screamed.
She stepped closer, her chest heaving.
“You kept it out of spite,” she said. “You sat up here in your little wood house, playing the martyr, while the rest of us were drowning.”
