“Are you alright?” he asked softly.
“I’m fine,” I said, taking a slow breath. “Just tired.”
“We need to get you home,” Koko said, looking between us. “Both of you. This place isn’t safe tonight.”
Andrew nodded, but his mind was clearly elsewhere.
“If we can’t prove who wiped the servers, the board will blame me for the security breach,” he said.
“And they’ll blame Elila for the formula contamination,” Koko added.
“We need them to admit it,” I said.
“They won’t just confess, Elila,” Andrew said, opening the glass lobby doors for us. “Julian is too smart for that.”
“Then we make them think they’ve won,” I said.
The night air was chilly as we stepped onto the sidewalk.
I looked at Andrew, my heart racing.
“What do you mean?” he asked, stopping near his car.
