“I’ll go back to Elila’s place and get her things,” Koko offered. “I’ll bring my brother. He’s six-foot-four and plays semi-pro football.”

“No,” Andrew said. “Don’t go near the apartment. I’ll have my security team retrieve her essentials.”

He looked back at the monitor, where the blue files were still displaying.

The screen suddenly flickered.

The directory names began to disappear, one by one, replaced by lines of black code.

“What is that?” I asked, pointing at the screen.

“A remote wipe,” Andrew said, lunging toward the keyboard.

He typed frantically, his fingers hitting the keys in rapid succession.

“They’re deleting the evidence from the primary server,” Andrew said.

“Can you stop it?” Koko asked, leaning over his shoulder.

“No,” Andrew said, his voice tense. “The command is coming from inside the building.”

He stopped typing and stared at the screen as the final folder vanished.

The monitor went completely black, except for a small green cursor blinking in the top-left corner.

Andrew slowly stood up, his face grim.

“The mole,” Andrew said. “They are still here.”

Suddenly, the lights in the boardroom went out.
