“She spent twenty minutes downloading your personal calendar and financial schedules.”

My heart hammered against my ribs.

“That is not what happened,” I said, my voice shaking. “I was returning the organic chemistry logs that Dr. Vance requested.”

Victoria let out a soft, mocking laugh.

“With a restricted keycard?” she asked, raising an eyebrow. “An intern doesn’t have clearance for that level of the building, let alone after hours.”

Andrew did not look at me.

His eyes were fixed on the screen, his jaw set so tight a muscle twitched in his cheek.

“Where did you get this, Victoria?” he asked quietly.

“Julian found it during a routine security audit this morning,” she replied, her eyes gleaming. “She is planning to use the pregnancy to blackmail you for a payout, Andrew.”

She stepped closer to him, her hand resting lightly on his arm.

“She wanted to secure her future before her contract expired next month.”

I looked at Andrew, searching his face for any sign of trust.

“Andrew, please,” I said, taking a step toward him. “Look at the footage. I wasn’t even wearing that sweater two weeks ago.”
