I looked back at Sloane, whose eyes were wide and desperate.
“Where are the server logs, Sloane?” I asked.
“In a safety deposit box at the Rhode Island Union Bank,” she said immediately.
“I have the key in my apartment.”
“And the digital copies are on a secure drive.”
“I can get them for you today.”
“Right now.”
“Don’t listen to her,” Vivian said from her armchair.
She had not stood up once during the entire confrontation.

I felt the air in the room grow suddenly colder.
“What are you talking about, Vivian?” I asked.
Vivian turned her head toward Carter.
“Did you receive the courier package from Dr. Aris, Carter?” she asked.
