I looked at June.
She let out a soft coo, completely unaware of the shadow hanging over her.

“No lawyers,” Carter said.
“Lydia will just tell you to fight. And if you fight, you lose June.”
“I can’t sign this without seeing the full disclosure,” I lied, trying to make my voice sound defeated.
“I need to know what Vivian is planning with the offshore accounts.”
Carter frowned slightly, his eyes narrowing.
“What do you know about offshore accounts?”
“I know enough,” I said.
