I looked at the screen, my heart freezing.

“The code used belongs to someone inside this building.”

“Sloane,” I said, my voice barely a whisper.
My father picked up the telephone on his desk.
“Get security to the server room on the fourth floor,” he said into the receiver.
“And call the federal marshal handling the Pierce asset seizure.”
He hung up and looked at Thomas.
“Can we stop the routing?”
Thomas tapped the screen twice.
“It is in the clearinghouse queue,” Thomas said. “We have exactly twelve minutes before the Swiss bank accepts the ledger.”
I leaned over the mahogany desk, my fingers pressing into the polished wood.
