I looked at Sloane, who was watching me with wide, pale eyes.
“Do not let them in,” I said.
“My father’s legal team is already filing an emergency injunction.”
“The custody papers are forged, Dr. Vance.”
“Hold them for five minutes.”
I hung up before she could reply.
I turned to Sloane, my hand hovering over the desk.
“Give me his location,” I said.
Sloane tapped her fingers rapidly across her laptop keyboard.
“The bank tracking app on his phone just pinged,” she said.
“He’s still at the corporate branch on Market Street.”
“But he’s not inside the vault anymore.”
“He’s in the manager’s office.”
I grabbed my coat from the back of the chair.
“You’re coming with me,” I told her.
