Elias didn’t deny it. He just stared at me, his chest rising and falling slowly.

“You don’t have the leverage for this, Ava,” he said.

“I do,” I said. “Because without me, Daniel takes everything.”

“Daniel is a snake,” Elias said. “But I have handled snakes before.”

“Not this time,” I said. “He has the board, Elias. He has the votes to oust you on Monday.”

Elias’s jaw tightened.

He looked at the desk, his mind calculating the risks.

“What do you want me to do?” he asked.

“Give me the authorization to access the vault,” I said. “The physical files on my father’s original designs.”

“And what do I get in return?”

“I will get you the proof that Daniel is leaking the financial forecasts,” I said.

Elias watched me, his gaze intense.

He was trying to figure out if I was bluffing.

“How do you plan to get that proof?” he asked.

“Daniel has a drive in his townhouse,” I said. “I know how to get in.”

“He won’t just let you walk in and take it,” Elias said.
