“You lying coward,” I said.
“Evelyn, watch your tone,” Dr. Sterling said.
“This is a serious allegation.”
“He altered the files,” I said, pointing at Hunter.
“He sent them to Vanguard Chemical to ruin me.”
Hunter sighed and looked down at the floor.
“I didn’t want it to come to this,” Hunter said.

He opened his leather folder and pulled out a stack of printed papers.
“These are the system logs from our home network,” Hunter said.
He handed the papers to Dr. Sterling.
“They show Evelyn’s laptop accessing the corrupted files late last night,” Hunter said.
“She uploaded them to the shared drive from our living room.”
“That is impossible,” I said.
“I was at the library until midnight.”
“The library logs will show you checked out at nine,” Hunter said.
