I pressed the phone to my ear.
“Evelyn,” a voice said. “This is Dr. Sterling. You need to come back to campus immediately.”
“What is happening?” I asked.
“The board just called an emergency vote,” he said. “But there is something else you need to see before they start.”
“What is it?” I asked.
“It is about your father, Arthur,” Sterling said, his voice dropping. “There is another file on that server they just seized. Something from twenty years ago.”
I gripped the phone tightly, my eyes staring at the dark clouds rolling over the river.
“What did he do?” I asked.
“Just get here, Evelyn,” Sterling said. “The office is open.”
