“If those files go to the federal prosecutor, the divorce will be the least of your worries.”

“You are looking at corporate fraud, tax evasion, and embezzlement.”

Julian grabbed the folder, his fingers ripping the paper as he opened it.

He stared at the printed pages, his eyes darting across the rows of numbers.

“This is leverage,” Julian whispered.

“She’s blackmailing me.”

“It is not blackmail when it is part of a legal discovery process,” Martin corrected him.

“She is establishing your true net worth for the asset division.”

“She wants to strip me of everything,” Julian said.

He threw the folder back onto the desk.

“I built that company.”

“And you broke the law to keep it,” Martin said.

“Now we have to contain the damage.”

“I want her found,” Julian muttered, his voice rising.

“I want to know where she took my son.”

Martin took off his glasses and rubbed the bridge of his nose.

“You are going to stay here, and you are going to let me negotiate with Lydia.”

“I am not sitting in this house doing nothing,” Julian said.
