His hands were shaking so badly he almost dropped it.
He tapped the screen repeatedly.
“It’s locked,” he whispered, staring at the screen.
“My banking app says access denied.”
He looked at me, his eyes wide and pleading.
“Claire,” he said.
“Tell them.”
“Tell them you know about the accounts.”
“You founded the software we used for the valuation.”
“You know the numbers were real.”
I looked at him, feeling a strange mix of pity and disgust.
“I know what the numbers were supposed to be, Harrison,” I said.
“But I also know what you did with my proprietary code.”
“You altered the valuation algorithms to inflate your holdings by eight hundred percent.”
“I have the original version, and I have the logs showing when your mother’s IP address accessed the server to override the limits.”
Harrison looked from me to Patricia.

“You changed the code?” he asked her.
