“The signature is identical to Claire’s,” Harrison whispered, leaning over to look at the paper.
“Because she traced it, Harrison,” I said, finding my voice.
“If this goes public, Claire, your precious software company goes down with us,” Patricia said.
She leaned over the table, her breath smelling of mint and stale coffee.
“The press won’t care if it’s real or fake,” she whispered, her voice dripping with malice.
