“Technically, she still has legal custody,” I said, panicking.

“Not yet,” Marco said.
“But they are tracking your vehicle’s GPS.”
“I disabled the transponder on the SUV before we left the highway,” Marco added.
“But they know the last location was ten miles south of here.”
“They will start searching the local roads soon.”
Ryker shut the laptop with a snap.
“We stay put,” he said.
“If we run now, we look guilty.”
“We need that proof from the Cayman accounts.”
“Once we have it, we go straight to the federal prosecutor.”
