“You’ve been our counsel for fifteen years,” she hissed.
“My duty has always been to the estate and its rightful heirs,” Julian said, looking up at her.
“The documents Evelyn provided to the federal prosecutor’s office are clear.”
“The accounts were systematically drained over a five-year period.”
“And the heirloom assets, including the jewelry registered under the Caldwell trust, were transported across state lines for private sale.”
Graham finally lifted his head, his face wet with tears and smudged with dust from the altar steps.
“Mother, they have the bank records from Switzerland,” Graham whispered.
“Be quiet, Graham,” Marjorie snapped, her voice like a whip.
“They have the transfers from the Grace Harbor holdings,” Graham continued, ignoring her.

Agent Miller walked past Sloane, who had shrunk back against the wall of the vestibule.
