“You signed the waiver when we took out the construction loan, Richard.”

“You wanted to save on the interest rate, remember?”

His jaw tightened.

“The house itself was paid for with community funds,” he said.

“It belongs to both of us.”

“The house is currently stored in sections in a warehouse in Pflugerville,” I said.

“Its value will be determined during the asset division.”

“But it cannot remain on my land without my consent.”

“And I do not consent.”

Richard took another step closer, his fists clenched at his sides.

“I will sue you for every dollar,” he said, his voice dropping to a low, dangerous tone.

“I will take this land from you.”

“I will make sure you have nothing left.”

“You can discuss that with Gloria Vance,” I said.

“She has already filed the petition for divorce.”

“She’s also filed an injunction to freeze the joint accounts.”

Richard’s face went from pale to red.

“You think you’re smart, Alexandra,” he said.

“You’re a housewife.”

“You don’t know anything about business.”

“I built that agency.”

“And I helped you build it,” I said.
