Carroway tried to object, but his voice lacked its earlier strength.
“This is highly speculative, Your Honor,” Carroway said. “These are standard business transactions.”
“Standard transactions don’t match a child’s drawing of a hidden safe, Mr. Carroway,” Judge Harlan said.
She looked at the ledgers Vance had provided, her brow furrowing deep.
“I am denying the emergency motion for custody,” Judge Harlan said, her gavel coming down with a loud crack.
