“Then pull it,” Alexander said. “But you will be explaining to them why you used corporate funds to pay off a medical professional to falsify records.”

Victoria’s face went pale.

“I did no such thing,” she said.

“The wire transfers came from Sterling Holdings,” Alexander said. “I have the transaction IDs. Margaret found them.”

The mention of Margaret’s name made Victoria’s eyes narrow.

“That disloyal little clerk,” Victoria muttered.

“She is my assistant, and she is loyal to the truth,” Alexander said. “Now, get out of my sight before I have my security remove you physically.”

Victoria stood still for a long moment.

She looked at Alexander, then at me, and finally at the boys.

A cold, venomous smile touched her lips.

“You think you’ve won, Alexander,” she said softly. “But you have no idea what the board will do when they realize their CEO is willing to destroy the company’s reputation for a fantasy.”

She turned on her heel.

“We will see who is standing tomorrow morning,” she said.

She walked out of the library, her guards falling into step behind her.
