“That’s a lie,” Nathan roared, his face turning red with anger. “I never authorized any such transfer!”
“The wire transfer documents have your electronic signature, Nathan,” Eleanor said softly.
She took a step closer to us, her heels clicking on the hardwood floor.
“And the shell company was opened using Emily’s social security number and her signature,” she added.
“I never signed anything!” I cried, my stomach twisting into a hard knot.
“The press won’t care about that,” Eleanor said, her voice a cruel purr. “They will only see a young, ambitious CEO who used his housekeeper wife to launder millions of dollars from his own family’s company.”
She looked at Nathan, her smile widening.
