“This is absurd,” Harrison said, laughing dryly. “These documents are fabricated.”
“They are not,” Rebecca said, stepping into the light of the boardroom.
Harrison’s smile vanished instantly.
“I helped him set up the accounts,” Rebecca told the board. “I have the corresponding authorization emails on my personal device.”
She placed a stack of printed documents onto the mahogany table.
“He promised me a percentage of the stolen funds in exchange for my cooperation,” she added.
Harrison took a step toward her, his face turning a deep, angry red. “You ungrateful—”
“That is enough, Harrison,” Jonathan said, stepping between them.
The doors at the back of the boardroom opened, and two men in suits entered, followed by uniformed officers.
“Harrison Vance?” the lead detective asked.
Harrison did not answer; he stared at Jonathan with pure hatred.
“You are under arrest for grand larceny and corporate fraud,” the detective said, stepping forward.
The officers turned Harrison around and clicked the handcuffs onto his wrists.
The sound of the metal lock echoing in the sterile room was final.
As Harrison was led out, the senior board member looked at Jonathan.
