The donors in the front row began to whisper, some of them standing up to get a better view of the stage.

Vance Harrison walked toward Graham, his expression dark. “Graham, if my bridge loan is tied up in a frozen trust, we have a massive problem.”

“Vance, please, let me handle this,” Graham said, his hands raised in a defensive gesture.

“Handle it?” Margaret said, turning on her son. “You foolish boy. I told you Rachel was watching the accounts.”
