“Those shares give you forty-two percent of the voting power,” he said.

“Forty-two on my own,” I said. “But with the minority block held by the legacy board members who hated Ethan’s expansion plans, I can reach fifty-one.”

I reached out and touched the laptop screen, pointing to the patent files.

“If I call an emergency board meeting, I can present this evidence,” I said. “I can strip Ethan of his CEO title before he even knows what hit him.”

“It’s not that simple, Grace,” Julian warned. “Ethan has the administrative keys to the entire corporate network.”

“I have my old biometric access token,” I said, reaching into my coat pocket and pulling out a small silver fob. “It’s linked directly to the master registry.”

“If he realizes what you’re doing, he’ll freeze everything,” Julian said. “He can lock you out of the server and freeze the corporate accounts before the board can vote.”

“Then we have to do it tonight, before he realizes we have this data,” I said.

Mrs. Ramirez walked over, placing a gentle hand on my shoulder.
