He handed me a pen and a stack of papers.

“These are the temporary trusteeship agreements,” he said.

“Once you sign these, the transition of authority is complete.”

I took the pen.

My hand was steady as I wrote my signature on the line.

I signed my name on three different documents.

Robert took the papers back and checked each one carefully.

“Everything is in order,” he said.

“What happens to the house in Beverly Hills?” I asked.

“The estate is corporate property,” Robert said.

“Since you control the majority shares through Maya, you can do whatever you want with it.”

“I want the locks changed today,” I said.

“And I want all of Victoria’s personal belongings packed and sent to her lawyers.”

“I will have a security team handle it immediately,” Robert said.

“They will ensure no one enters the property without your written permission.”

“Thank you, Robert,” I said.

He packed his briefcase and shook my hand.

“You fought hard for this, Natalie,” he said.

“Thomas would be proud of what you did.”

He left the room, leaving me alone with my daughter once more.
