“The security will be incredibly tight, Alexander.”

“You are a wanted man.”

“If Marcus or Victoria’s security sees you, they will call the police immediately.”

“I know,” he said.

“But we have no choice.”

“If we don’t get that physical key, we cannot prove the funds were moved by Marcus and Victoria.”

“We cannot clear my name.”

“And Vale Global will be absorbed by Crane Capital by the end of the week.”

I nodded slowly.

“We need invitations,” I said.

“And we need to look like we belong there.”

“I can handle the invitations,” Alexander said.

“I still have a few contacts who haven’t completely turned their backs on me.”

“But getting past the biometric scanners at the VIP entrance will be difficult.”

“I can bypass the local scanner if I can get physical access to the junction box in the basement,” I said.

“But I will need twenty minutes undisturbed.”

“I will give you the time,” Alexander said.

He looked at the screen again, at his father’s signature.

His face was pale, but his voice was steady now.

“We go in, we get the key, and we expose them.”
