Martin stood up, buttoning his suit jacket.

“Yes, Your Honor,” Martin said.

“We have submitted formal notification to the court regarding the federal plea agreement executed by Vivian Prescott.”

At the defense table, Callum’s lead attorney stood up quickly.

“Your Honor, we object to any introduction of those materials into this custody proceeding,” the attorney said.

“The criminal investigation regarding Prescott Global’s finances is entirely separate from this family matter.”

Judge Mallory raised a single hand, silencing him instantly.

“Mr. Sterling, your client is accused of using stolen trust assets to fund his personal ventures, assets that were intended to secure the welfare of his child,” she said.

“If those assets were obtained illegally, it is highly relevant to this court.”

She looked back at Martin.

“Where is the witness?” Judge Mallory asked.

“Mrs. Vivian Prescott is currently in federal custody at an undisclosed location, preparing her formal deposition,” Martin said.

“However, she has submitted a signed affidavit confirming that Callum Prescott acted alone in the diversion of the funds.”

Callum stood up suddenly, his chair scraping loudly against the wooden floor.
