The Fall of Prescott Global and the Reclamation of a Mother Legacy
“There is an active federal protection order restraining you from coming within five hundred feet of Mrs. Prescott,” the officer said. “You were served with those papers at four o’clock today.”
“She is carrying my child!” Callum shouted.
“Step away from the bed, sir,” the marshal repeated.
The two officers behind him stepped forward. They grabbed Callum’s arms and pulled them behind his back.
Callum struggled, kicking his foot against the bedside table. The heavy silver pen he had brought with him clattered to the floor.
“This is a setup!” Callum screamed. “Avery, you planned this!”
“You came here of your own free will, Callum,” I said softly.
They pushed him against the wall. The cold metal of the handcuffs clicked into place.
“You are under arrest for federal contempt of court and stalking,” the lead marshal said, reading from a small card. “You will be transported to the federal holding facility downtown.”
“Call my mother!” Callum yelled as they began to drag him toward the door. “Call Voss! Get them on the phone!”
