The Fall of Prescott Global and the Reclamation of a Mother Legacy
“That is a lie,” Callum muttered, his voice low but sharp.
“Silence, Mr. Prescott,” Judge Mallory said without looking at him.
She gestured to the bailiff.
“Bring the ledger to the bench.”
The bailiff took the book from Arthur.
He walked it up the three wooden steps to the judge.
Arthur remained standing, his posture straight, his eyes fixed on Callum.
“If you look at page eighty-four, Your Honor,” Arthur said.
“You will see the transfer authorizations.”
“They are dated three weeks ago.”
“The entire eighty million dollars was transferred out of the trust.”
The courtroom was silent except for the sound of the judge turning the thick paper.
“Where did the funds go, Mr. Vance?” Judge Mallory asked.
“They were routed through three shell companies registered in the Cayman Islands,” Arthur said.
“From there, they were deposited directly into the primary operating account of Prescott Global.”
“The transfer documents bear Callum Prescott’s digital signature.”
I took a slow breath, feeling the baby kick against my ribs.
The weight of the child felt like an anchor keeping me grounded in the cold room.
