She looked up as we entered, her sharp eyes scanning our small group.
“Mr. Voss,” Judge Mallory said, her voice echoing in the empty gallery. “I received your emergency motion to withdraw as counsel for Callum Prescott.”
“Yes, Your Honor,” Voss said, stepping up to the podium.
“And you are asserting the crime-fraud exception to attorney-client privilege?” she asked, leaning forward.
“I am,” Voss said. “My client utilized my firm’s secured servers and communication channels to coordinate illegal activities, specifically the tracking and financial isolation of his pregnant wife.”
Voss opened his briefcase and pulled out a thick, black binder.
“I have compiled four years of internal emails, server logs, and wire transfer receipts,” Voss said.
He handed the binder to the bailiff, who carried it up to the bench.
“These documents detail the installation of military-grade tracking software on Mrs. Prescott’s personal vehicle,” Voss continued.
“They also contain direct authorizations from Callum Prescott to transfer funds to Dr. Robert Whitaker for the fabrication of psychiatric and medical records.”
Judge Mallory opened the binder.
