The Cost of Silence and the Family Built from the Ashes of Betrayal
“This video was posted to social media at midnight on Tuesday,” Victoria said. “Exactly three hours after my client underwent emergency surgery to save her life.”
Ryan shifted in his seat, his face turning a deep, mottled red.
Margaret reached out and grabbed his arm, her grip so tight her manicured nails dug into his sleeve.
“Furthermore,” Victoria continued, picking up a stack of printed documents. “We have the certified records from St. Catherine’s Medical Center and the personal phone logs of Mr. Thomas Parker.”
She handed a copy to the bailiff, who passed it to the judge.
“As the court can see, Thomas Parker, a retired paramedic, called his son Ryan twenty-two times between the hours of 9:00 PM and midnight.”
“Those calls went straight to voicemail,” Victoria said. “At the same time, Emma Parker attempted to call her husband from the bathroom floor of her home while she was bleeding to death.”
The courtroom was completely silent except for the sound of Judge Vance turning the pages of the phone log.
“The logs show that Ryan Parker blocked his wife’s number at approximately 9:15 PM,” Victoria said.
