“Mr. Parker, I suggest you step back from the minor child,” Victoria said.
“This is my son,” Ryan said, his face reddening as he pointed at the bassinet. “My mother has already set up the nursery at the estate. He belongs there.”
“He belongs with his mother,” Thomas said.
“His mother is a patient in an intensive recovery ward,” Ryan said, pointing a finger at me. “She can barely sit up, let alone care for a newborn.”
“Which is exactly why she is not to be subjected to your harassment,” Victoria said.
She pulled out a document and held it out to him.
“This is a formal notice of representation,” Victoria said. “All future communications regarding Emma and Ethan Parker will go through my office.”
Ryan did not take the paper.
“My mother’s lawyers will have this thrown out by tomorrow morning,” Ryan said.
“They can try,” Victoria said calmly. “But right now, you are trespassing in a private medical room against the patient’s explicit wishes.”
She looked at the nurse, who was still standing by the door, looking terrified.
“Nurse, please call hospital security,” Victoria said.
