He reached into his breast pocket and pulled out a slim pair of reading glasses, slipping them on.

“I have just reviewed the documents Diane Cho provided to my legal team ten minutes ago.”

Caleb looked up, his grey eyes cold behind the lenses.

“The signature on the third-round funding authorization is a forgery.”

“My investment group does not partner with people who commit federal bank fraud.”

Grant took a step back, his face losing its remaining color under the stage lights.

“It was an administrative oversight, Caleb, a misunderstanding between spouses—”

“It is a felony, Grant,” Caleb interrupted.

He turned his back on Grant and looked up at me on the stage, giving me a brief, respectful nod.

“Furthermore, the bylaws of the Harbor Point Joint Venture are very clear,” Caleb announced to the entire room.

“Section twelve allows for the immediate removal of any partner engaged in criminal misrepresentation.”
