“You said we were setting up a joint account for the new consulting firm with your own family money.”
“Blaire, be quiet,” Grant hissed, his knuckles turning white as he gripped the edge of the table.
“Do not say another word in front of them.”
“I am not going to jail for you, Grant,” Blaire said, her voice rising.
She turned to Lena, her hands trembling as she smoothed her skirt.
“I have all the text messages,” Blaire said quickly, looking directly at my lawyer.
“I have the emails where he sent me those scanned files and told me to upload them to the offshore server.”
“I didn’t know he forged her signature,” she continued, her voice shaking. “I swear I didn’t.”
“I can give you everything. I have the drive in my bag.”
Lena nodded slowly, not showing any surprise.
“That would be very helpful, Blaire,” Lena said, pulling a yellow legal pad toward her.
“If you cooperate fully and provide a sworn statement, our office will instruct the district attorney of your assistance.”
“You traitor,” Grant growled, taking a step toward Blaire.
